This little white computer rocks. Don't know where they got them from, and how they are able to sell them for so cheap. I hope they didn't fall off the back of a truck. (Just Kidding.) I'm very impressed, though. I've been a Mac user for 8 years. This is just another example of Macs great craftsmanship. I would suggest this Mac to anyone who wants to have everything and be up-to-date in the Mac world without paying $1,2000 and up. There's only a few minor suggestions I have: download the newest software after installing Mac OS X Tiger (It costs about a $100 bucks.), google search Firefox and install it, and go to apple.com and search in the support section for this Mac, iBook G4, so you can get the user's manual. That's about it, and it will be running like you paid $1,400 for it. And where are the blemishes!!??? I didn't see any. Awesome deal, awesome Mac. You guys rock!!!

This computer is byfar the BEST laptop I've ever had. Being a college student it was imperative that I find something cheap but good. And the fact that I was able to find a Mac at such a low price still amazes me. I got mine today and it works like a dream! You can surf the web incredibly fast. Save alot of music, plays dvd's nice and crisp. Wireless is very simple and easily acessible. I just love it and I would recommend it to anyone!
Ps. This laptop would be perfect for a college student!

Great kids computer esp kids in elementary school it cannot be upgraded to Leopard but it can run tons of kids educational software Microsoft Office 04 and be used to get on the internet. Great for email use, watching dvds, and burning custom cds. Great starter mac.

Very satisfied with my Toshiba purchase and no problems. This computer has a "2012" i3-2350M with powerful imbedded graphics and is very fast. Only brand of laptop I will buy because of its reputation for reliability and quality; is the Toyota of laptops. These are the most important reasons for me. My second Toshiba laptop. Some previous negative reviews seem phony to me because they mention purchases 1-2 years ago when model L755-S5169 with the "2012" i3 2350M was not even available. Others omit the model# or are not Amazon Verified Purchases.

I just bought the Toshiba L755-5169 series Satellite Laptop. My HP dv7-1130us Entertainment Pavilion Notebook died recently after 3 1/2 years. I wanted a computer that was equal to or better than my HP that I adored. I shopped around at various stores and online through the manufacture websites comparing specifications, features and design, making sure to stay away from HP because of their known issues. My family has recently bought Toshiba laptops and I thought it might be a choice for me. After comparing, I found myself looking strongly at the Toshibas and I decided on this model.
My HP was a top-of-the-line dv7 that I purchased for $849. The Toshiba laptop was for sale NEW on Amazon.com for $499.

TOSHIBA DOES NOT HONOR THEIR OWN GUARANTEE! Soon after I purchased a Toshiba lap top, I found something wrong with the power cord portal. The battery would not charge.
Toshiba had me mail the computer to them. It was returned unfixed. They said customer abuse caused the problem. I spoke to several "case managers" at Toshiba. Each one kept repeating that Toshiba's warranty does not cover customer abuse and that the technician said that something had been jabbed into the port and damaged it. Nothing I said made a difference.
I ended up taking the computer to a local independent technician who opened up the laptop, replaced a six inch connecting cord, and now all is well. It cost me $75. The cord that needed replacing was not damaged. It looked fine. It was simply defective.
Don't expect satisfactory service from Toshiba. They'll take your money and then they're through with you. I'll never buy from Tobisha again.

My family has recently bought Toshiba laptops and I thought it might be a choice for me. After comparing, I found myself looking strongly at the Toshibas and I decided on this model.
My HP was a top-of-the-line dv7 that I purchased for $849. The Toshiba laptop was for sale NEW on Amazon.com for $499.

TOSHIBA DOES NOT HONOR THEIR OWN GUARANTEE! Soon after I purchased a Toshiba lap top, I found something wrong with the power cord portal. The battery would not charge.
Toshiba had me mail the computer to them. It was returned unfixed. They said customer abuse caused the problem. I spoke to several "case managers" at Toshiba. Each one kept repeating that Toshiba's warranty does not cover customer abuse and that the technician said that something had been jabbed into the port and damaged it. Nothing I said made a difference.
I ended up taking the computer to a local independent technician who opened up the laptop, replaced a six inch connecting cord, and now all is well. It cost me $75. The cord that needed replacing was not damaged. It looked fine. It was simply defective.
Don't expect satisfactory service from Toshiba. They'll take your money and then they're through with you. I'll never buy from Tobisha again.
